SFGhoulies -- a flame-free list for goths

SFGhoulies is a list that was created to strengthen and encourage the goth community of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Its goal is to bring people together for intelligent (and silly) conversation and various events and outings. Do Not Send Attachments If you want to share a picture only post a URL to the picture. Also, no html posts. Please do not use an account for this list that you've set up with an (anti-spam, away on holiday, etc.) automatic-response. Flames, bitchiness, attacks, pot-shots, general-airs-of-superiority, etc., will not be tolerated on this list. You will get one off-list warning if a post you make is found to be out of line by the list admins, and the next time, you will be banned. Seriously. This isn't the place for it--if you're looking to be snipey, take it elsewhere. The goal is to have everyone participating in conversations and events without fear of getting flamed. There is no posting limit in effect, but, as always, please use good judgment when posting. Which, by the way, means that list volume might get a bit high, but that's what thread sorters and delete keys are for... : ) Along those lines, please change the subject line when it no longer matches the conversation. Also, since this is a "group of friends (even if you don't know each other face to face)" list, thread topics do not need to be focused solely on goth. (Can you imagine how boring it would get if we were all sitting in a room and could only speak of ghoulie matters? : ) ) Run amok. Seek advice, invite folks to events, bitch about your day, whatever. Just play nice. Please behave as you would if you were speaking face to face. If you do have personal issues (read: outside the scope of the discussion) with someone's post, you are encouraged to take it up with them directly, just do it off list. Please note that replies go to the original poster, so if you want to reply onlist, hit "reply all." Please do not send announcement-type mail to the Ghoulies address. Only Ghoulies members are allowed to post to the list. Ghoulies list members are allowed to post announcements to the list for one-off or smaller events, but for more general and regular announcements (ie. clubs, shows, etc.), please use SFG-Announce, which you can subscribe to on sfgoth.com. Please use your own discretion, and if list admin feel your posts are better suited to the Announce list, they'll let you know. One final thing--this is a list for people 18 and over only. By subscribing to SF Ghoulies, you are vowing that you are indeed 18 years old or older. The list owner and admins are not responsible for anyone who subscribes in bad faith, and we are also not responsible for content on this list. We apologize to those who will be excluded, but free conversation on this list is encouraged, including topics that might not be appropriate for minors. Anyone breaking any of the above rules will be removed from the list, either immediately or after as many warnings as the admin see fit. Subscribing to SFGhoulies
Subscribe to SFGhoulies by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
